La Barca Mexican Restaurant in Arnolds Park

The atmosphere was pleasant! The staff was very attentive and very accommodating! The food was delicious! I would recommend this establishment to everyone!!!!!! Keep it going guys!!!!!!

We tried the Wednesday night buffet here and were really quite happy with it. The buffet spread was incredibly clean, immaculate actually. No burnt food on the edges of pans, no slopped and spilled food along the buffet table, clean serving utensils and plenty of dishware. The food quality was solid and the price was less than an entree - all for a buffet. The Wednesday night buffet is worth checking out here.

The food was very good and reasonably priced. There was a buffet but I ordered 3 chicken enchiladas with refried beans.

We came in to see the place with 6 tables with food sitting on there. They sat us in a booth that wasn’t wiped off. Sat us down and realized they needed to wipe the table which led to the food on ending up on our laps. 20 minutes we finally get served our drinks, mind you they’re not busy. 2 people finishing their drinks waited for quite some time for the ticket, after yelling for the server to give them the ticket she finally shows her face but doesn’t acknowledge them needing to pay. The food portions for fajitas were very small and we only seen the server twice. On a good side, the food was done quickly!Never again!!!

Great food great service.

For the local market and price, it's five stars. The lunch buffet has great choices. Shredded chicken meat for tacos, etc. was really well prepared and moist. Quesadillas were a treat. Toppings were fresh and the salsa is absolutely fantastic.

Best Mexican food I've ever had. My current fave is the chicken quesadilla grille. Very mild, but still so flavorful... And the salsa that they serve while you wait for your entree is fabulous! Can't wait to go back to the lakes and eat there again!

Anywhere that has queso on their buffet is big thumbs up in my book.

They have an amazing Mexican buffet for under $12.00 which seems steep but if you want fajitas boom there you go. If you want just cheese tacos. Boom there you go. Chicken fajitas enchiladas already to go. Even desert of strawberry cheesefilles goodness rice pudding and honey the kids will love that. Or they have normal menu items of everything. Hot chips and salsa to get you started.

The lunch buffet is very good

Usual good but that time I went still had an hour and 30 minutes left of buffet but was almost completely empty. With only few customers.

We didn't catch them on their best day. Over an hour and they didn't come check on us once. The food however was good.

Fantastic. I wasn’t expecting too much, but I was completely blown away. I had the enchiladas verdes and honestly I’m still thinking about them days later. Service was prompt and friendly. Will definitely return next I’m in the area!

Amazing lunch buffet. Very well priced. Ate here twice and enjoyed it both times. During peak hours service can get pretty slow however.

Our waitress was friendly and prompt. Food was hot. My son reported the bathrooms needed a good cleaning. Beer was cold. Water tasted like the lake. This is the second time we've stopped here and it's never busy. If you're looking for your average Mexican food place - this is an option.

Absolutely AMAZING food! The rice was perfectly cooked and moist, the enchilada sauce was out of this world and the flavors in the fajita mix were spot on. Hands down The best Mexican food I've had in a very very long time. 20/10 will visit again anytime I'm up at the lakes!

La Barca is the best Mexican restaurant in the Okoboji area!! My husband and I were introduced at their old location in Spirit Lake, and we had them do a buffet for our rehearsal dinner. If the buffet isn't an option, I always get the Quesadilla Grill. The cheese covered quesadilla is always amazing.

I usually don't review places I've gone to only once unless they really left a major impression on me (positive or negative). I will give this a review because I'm sure I'll be back here and can edit any change of opinion. I went here on a poorly planned day with very little time to waste. The orders were taken quickly and processed without delay. Received the food hot and in very little time. Prices were very reasonable. I guarantee that I will be back. La Barca comes second in the Lakes area only to Los Pueblos.

Went with a group of 20. They were so nice and seated us quickly. Most had the buffet, which was delicious. Several ordered from menu and enjoyed. Staff was terrific!

The staff was nice but the cheese they used for the quesadillas wasnt my favorite. Maybe it's just my preference though.

The food is phenomenal the service was superb there was such a variety on the menu and it was so fairly priced I would love to eat here every day
